Gennie on her egg!
The egg!Yes, it is true! Gennie laid her egg last night sometime between dinner and 9 p.m. (like last year). And, just like last year, she laid it on a Sunday. And on our birthday too! Just the one egg. Mommy says birds lay eggs on different days and sometimes days apart, so we will see if she lays another egg this year. Last year she laid only one. So Mommy had given up on Gennie laying an egg this year, and there it was when she checked on Gennie last night! And not a squawk out of her! Mommy says it is a good thing the egg isn't fertile because Gennie doesn't sit on her eggs much and they would most likely die of neglect!
